Default Change the pillar in Sulfurous Wastes

Don't you hate it when you're vanquishing and forget to knock that pillar down that bridges over to the last few margonites to finish your vanq'ing run? I suggest that you make that pillar into something like the Solitary Colossus so that you can knock it down with Junundu Siege.

Here's the accursed pillar: !!!!!!

Lol @ posts below assuming I'm the one that failed vanquishing. This is for people that forget. I'm not one of them

Not hard to knock it over after fighting the undead just past it.
Not hard to knock it over while fighting the group of Margonites behind it.
Not hard to knock it over while fighting the group of Margonites across from it.

/unsigned because you don't know how to play that zone

One of the primary quests requires you to do the same thing, and wouldn't you know, it stays knocked down forever more.

There is absolutely no reason for this to not be the same way. I'd love to hear people try to explain otherwise. So far, their reasoning has been their failed attempts to be internet tough guys. Oh, how I do love these forums...

Add a poll, please; I want to vote no. Thanks.

It's not a terribly difficult puzzle to figure out, and you can always look up wiki or ask in town. I'm pretty sure this column was intended as a puzzle in the first place. I believe it was designed this way to make you figure out how to use the Junundu's abilities to interact with the environment.

Everyone who's disagreeing with this, tell me, what negative effect would this change have? The way I see it, there's only a positive outcome to this suggestion.

If someone can give me a good reason why it shouldn't be changed (lolnoob just dun forget!!11 isn't a good reason), then I'll say /notsigned. But until then, /signed.

Yarly. Not everyone is a super-intense Wiki-user and knows this, and I've heard a lot of people who've wasted hours because of this.

Pillar is prime example of bad game design:

* Unintuitive - You need wiki/forums to figure it out.
* Punishing - it basically punishes player for killing mobs / taking breaks.
* Stupid easy - if you know about it, it is just annoyance. There is no challenge.

It is one of the few "puzzles" that GW has to offer. I enjoyed figuring it out and I wouldn't want to deny future players the same opportunity.

I also found out via wiki how it worked, after I could not access the area for cartographer title. It is a bit annoying because tricks like these are not used anywhere else in Guild Wars, so you don't expect to think outside of the box here.

My vote goes to make this kind of puzzles a bit more common, so they can be expected.

Why is it QQing that the game is a bit puzzling??
How about we just have a pop up for every mission that tells you exactly where to go and what to do and where to get the bonuses.

Games arent supposed to be easy.

What mission teaches you that? If you mean bridge drop primary quest before Ruins of M, them it is completely different mechanic. Moreover, mechanic that lacks any of bad design disadvantages i listed.

Anyway, what pilar is is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unwinnable - It is pretty much always considered bug/bad design nowadays.
